Fiberglass Blanks

Trout Smith blanks are the backbone of TS Rods and we're happy to offer them to the rod building community.

Over the course of Trout Smiths' history up to now, these tapers have been developed by renowned rod designers such as Shane Gray and Mike McFarland. These blanks were designed years ago when Trout Smiths was owned by Shane, such as the Brookie LT and Brute series. The blanks and rods we offer today in those series are the exact same material and taper originally introduced by Shane. Several new additions to our glass line-up have been crafted in collaboration with Dusty Smith of Livingston Rod Co.

The new designs are rolled from S-Glass (lighter and crisper than E-Glass) and include the new three-piece 7'6 4wt "Rocky Creek" blank and the 7'0 3wt five-piece "Beehive" travel blank.
